Wevelop (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Brisbane-based business that designs and builds websites, marketing systems, and custom internal dashboards and automation for small and medium businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use https://wevelop.com.au, contact us, chat with our on-site assistant, or engage us for work.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to personal information we collect through our marketing website, contact forms, the on-site chat assistant, email, phone, and related project work. Separate products or client systems we build for customers may have their own notices — those apply to that product, not this website.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us, and limited technical data needed to run the site.

• Contact and enquiry details: name, business name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message.
• Chat assistant conversations: what you type into the on-site assistant, and any contact details you share there so we can follow up.
• Project information: once we work together, details needed to deliver the engagement (for example business processes, tool accounts you authorise, and stakeholder contacts).
• Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and similar logs from our hosting and security tools.
• Analytics events: if analytics is enabled on the site, aggregated or pseudonymous usage events (for example form-submit events) may be recorded.

How we collect it

Most personal information comes directly from you — via the contact form, chat assistant, email, or calls. We may also receive technical logs automatically when you visit the site, and information from tools you connect with our consent during a project (for example accounting, ecommerce, or shipping platforms).

We use personal information to:

Legal basis (Australia)

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), where it applies to us. We collect and use information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities described above. Where something is optional (for example phone number), you can leave it blank.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business:

• Email delivery: enquiry notifications are sent using Amazon SES to info@wevelop.com.au.
• Hosting and infrastructure: our website is hosted on cloud infrastructure (currently Vercel) which may process technical logs.
• Chat assistant: conversations are processed by our chat provider (Chatling) so the assistant can reply and we can follow up.
• Analytics: if Google Analytics or similar tools are active, they may receive usage events under their terms.
• Professional advisers: accountants, lawyers, or insurers when reasonably required.
• Client project tools: platforms you ask us to connect (for example Xero, Shopify, Stripe, shipping providers) under your instructions and credentials.
• Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.

Overseas disclosure

Some providers we use (hosting, email, chat, analytics) may store or process data on servers outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps so that recipients handle it in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, as far as practicable.

Cookies and similar technologies

Children

Our services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links and client systems

This site may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own. Client dashboards and portals we build may process your customers’ data under your instructions — you remain responsible for your own privacy obligations to those end users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
